STEP 01
Understand what matters
We talk about the goal, who the software is for and what a useful outcome looks like. A rough idea or a frustrating existing process is enough to begin.

DeltaCore / Our approach
You bring the idea, the challenge or the system that needs attention. We help work out a sensible way forward, then deliver the agreed work with clear communication along the way.
You do not need a complete technical specification to get in touch. We welcome conversations about projects of different sizes.
Start with a conversation
Tell us what you are trying to achieve, what is getting in the way or what you would like to build. It is fine if you are not sure which technology or approach is right.
We will discuss the options and whether a quick improvement, a defined piece of engineering or some initial investigation makes sense. There is no expectation that every conversation becomes a large project.
See the types of work we take onFrom conversation to delivery
The amount of planning depends on the project. These are the principles we use to keep work understandable and on track.
STEP 01
We talk about the goal, who the software is for and what a useful outcome looks like. A rough idea or a frustrating existing process is enough to begin.
STEP 02
We review what is already in place when relevant, discuss constraints and outline options. Sometimes the next step is a small fix; sometimes it is a focused technical assessment.
STEP 03
We make the scope, responsibilities, assumptions and intended result clear. For larger projects, we can divide the work into manageable stages.
STEP 04
We communicate progress, test the agreed work and explain what has changed. Documentation and a practical handover help the result remain useful after delivery.
How we engineer
Good engineering should make your software easier to use, operate and maintain, not make the engagement harder.
Speak with the engineer doing the work and understand the choices being made, without needing to translate technical jargon.
Use what already works. We favour the smallest sound change that meets the need over unnecessary complexity.
Security, testing, reliable data handling and maintainability are considered as part of delivering working software.
Whether you are planning a new application or improving something you already use, we are happy to discuss a practical starting point.
